History of Tigertown Mafia
Years ago, two of the greatest tailgaters of all times began tailgating
for the LSU football games. The parties they threw were absolutely insane along with the tailgates being physically very
close to each other. Before the 2005 tailgating season they had the brilliant idea of synergizing their skills
and combining their two tailgates into one massive party open to all that love the tradition of LSU football. The idea proved
genius when the tailgate they called, The Tigertown Mafia, was set up for the first home game. Heads turned, eyes
widened, and necks crained from the passerbys that saw the show in front of them. The baddest boom-box in the land
was unveiled, the beat started bumping, and immediately the people started partying. William Day, aka Vito Corleone, aka The
Don, and Jason Bordelon, aka Michael Corleone, aka The Godfather, proved even more brilliant when the SEC and Texas Pete picked
The Tigertown Mafia as the best tailgate at LSU and hence picked them to represent LSU at the Ultimate Tailgate Challenge.
Tigertown Mafia proved up to the challenge as they went into the competition as the underdog cajuns from Baton Rouge but came
out as the undisputed champions and thus the Ultimate Tailgate of the SEC. In true champion fashion
they were not satisfied with this and started immediately thinking about what they could do for the 2006 tailgate
season to improve from the previous year. Their brilliancy shown once again when they decided to introduce a dance
floor to the tailgate. An 8x16ft parquee dance floor was built. It proved an immediate hit as once the music started
going people flocked to grab a piece of the wood. Already known for their great parties, Tigertown Mafia
is being further entrenched into the tailgating hall of fame due to their parquee dance floor. When asked
why Tigertown Mafia goes through all this hard work, they humbly reply, "For the masses to have the greatest time
of their lives". The Tigertown Mafia invites everyone to join them in their celebration of both LSU football
and of life. Feel free to stop by the next tailgate or shoot them an email if you are looking for a good time.
